The word Hygge belongs to Danish language and means “simple pleasures”, “life enjoyment”. With years this word has become more and more popular and used also in other languages to express the need and the reach of happiness and well-being.
In this era characterized by technology, social media sharing but also of discontent, toleration and cold human relationships, the concept of luxury has changed dramatically; the new luxury now is happiness, harmony, comfort, special and simple pleasures, friends… a hygge life…
“Hygge” has been adapted also to furniture design and interior design as a new concept of home and comfort. Colours are light and neutral, shapes are round, materials are warm, welcoming and enveloping.
For what concerns beauty and care the attention has shifted to natural cosmetics and to organic food which not contains synthetic chemical compounds.
