Taking a plane and going to the top Hygge destination for these Winter Holidays.
In the District of Lofoten, Flakstad Norway
Located near the southern end of the Lofoten archipelago, Flakstad comprises all of the island of Flakstadøya and the northern part of the island of Moskenesøya. The islands are connected by the Fredvang Bridges and the Kåkern Bridge. The origin of the name Flakstad is debatable. It might derive from the word “flag”, meaning “cliff”. An older name for the island was “Vargfot”, meaning “wolf´s paw”.
This location is perfect for a relaxing Holiday in harmony with nature, savouring the local delicious food and admiring the impressive landscape that seems to never end. Accomodations are simple, cozy and warm as well as people always glad to help and to give precious tips. This little paradise that faces the ocean is a perfect destination for a HYGGE Holiday.
