The TOP 10 of the most hygge cities of the United States.
What is HYGGE?
“Hygge” is the Danish recipe for happiness, indeed this term and philosophy were born in Denmark and in recent years have become famous throughout the world spreading to all circles: philosophical, design, food and even travels.
The term comes from ancient Norway (another very happy country), and would generally mean “to be well”. The closest English word is “intimacy”: Hygge is that feeling of comfort, relaxation and serenity that you feel in an intimate, private context. Hygge is a fire lit when it rains outside; Hygge is an evening spent with friends playing cards. Hygge is, in essence, being well, being at ease.
